100 word challenge week #1

looking behind me I saw......
The opposition charging at me with his hockey stick ready. The score is three all and it is the final. Smack! He smashes into me. I stand strong and look where the ball is. Left, right, nowhere! Then I look up and the ball is darting down at me but the opposition is at his feet too. The right half backs me up and gets the ball. I run hard to the circle and the half smacks it to me. I shoot for the goal and it goes in. It is the best feeling to have a goal.

  2. Hello Billy,

I have been very lucky to have two 100WC entries from St Mary’s School. You must have some very creative writers in Mosgiel. :)

This is different to other stories I have read. Rather than ghosts or dragons or other such creatures, you’ve used the prompt to describe a game of hockey. This is a very well written recount of a game I think you may have played. Do you play hockey?

Have you taken some time to look at the entries of anyone from another school and perhaps left a comment for them? The 100WC is a great opportunity to share stories and comments.
