Michaela and Jaylah's glogster

Our poems

Our Poems

With Mrs. Dykes we wrote up in our books a poem called ‘Magic stuff’. Once we had written the original poem in our books we made our own remix of it. Some poems were really disgusting but still cool. We made up lots of yucky ingredients and put them into our poem. When we had done as much lines as we can we could, we copied the rest of the poem from the original copy. We typed them up and printed them out on a big copy and decorated them.

Poem Pictures

Poem pictures

With Mrs Dykes we are doing poem pictures! First we
write up the poem. We always use slope and flicks when
we write. Then we take them home to draw a picture
that would go with it! On every Wednesday we take them
back to school, so Mrs Dykes can see our progress with
the picture! Once Mrs Dykes has seen all of our work we
have to write up a new one! We all have fun doing it and
we put a lot of work into it.
THANK YOU!

Pacific Art

Pacifica Art
We are learning how to make Pacific art with Mrs. Dykes. We had to fold it into eight pieces. “None less than eight or more than eight”, said Mrs. Dykes.
We had fun sketching up Pacific arts and colouring it in. People chose four colours that they wanted on their art and in the end they looked great.

Name art with Mrs Dykes

Name Art

With Mrs Dykes we have made name art. We had to write our names, draw a background and decorate it. My one had pictures of monsters and a cloud around my name. Lots of people have put really awesome drawings in… Duh, what am I thinking? Everybody has awesome pictures. Here are some of the awesome awesome awesome pictures that room 6 made.

Glogster fun in Room 6

Today we had a session using glogster. We are using our current topic 'water' to share backgrounds, images, and water facts. We would love some comments and feedback. We are going to share our glogster learning with the class tomorrow. Look out for some more great glogsters soon from http://edu.glogster.com/

Lachlan made a glogster today about WATER...

Stacy and Cecilia's poem

I’m mixing up a special stew
With dirty undies and a cockatoo
Strawberry lipstick and a mouse’s tail
Old man cat, and some ladies nails
A goat’s throat covered in goo
Ended up in someone’s shoe
And when it’s done the special lotion
Will turn into a gooey potion
It’s absolutely guaranteed-
Just one spoonful’s all you need
To take on something big and
Shrink it

But will my younger sister drink it?

Lilly and Jaylah's poem

Magic Stuff

I’m mixing up a special stew
First I’m putting in horse poo
Started cooking up a special dish
With seven week old moldy fish
I put in a sneeze,
Blew up old cheese,
And when it’s done, this special potion
Is absolutely guaranteed-
Just one spoonful’s all you need
To take on something big and shrink it...

But will my father drink it?

Laura and Jorja's poem

Magic Stuff

I’m mixing up a special potion
From stinky toenails and body lotion
Tuna dog food, expired Ribena
Mouldy carrots and shoe cleaner
Snails, snot and slimy goo
And when it’s done, this special brew
Is absolutely guaranteed –
Just one tablespoon’s all you desire
Then soon after you’ll spit it in the fire…
BUT will my father drink it?

Lachlan and Jack's poem

Gross Stuff
I’m mixing up a special brew.
From stinky poo and worms too,
Clip nails and 7 tails,
Action girl and 9 snails,
A big claw and chopped up paw,
Some really stinky wild boar,
And when it’s done this special potion
Is absolutely guaranteed-
Just one spoonful is all you’ll need
To take on something small and grow it.
But will my Monster drink it?

Max and Josh's poem, MAGIC STUFF!

MAGIC STUFF

I’m brewing up a special mix
From old wet nuts, and dry weet-bix,
Oil and paint, brussel sprouts,
Giant sticks, whale spouts,
Mouldy cabbage, twenty snails,
A fish scale, dead dog’s tail,
Old mans boogers, crunchy stew,
And when it’s done this special brew,
Is absolutely guaranteed-
Just one spoonful’s all you’ll need,
To take on something big and shrink it,
But will my younger sister drink it.
