Giraffe

Today I made a Giraffe with my Dad.  It is for my animal inquiry and there are many kinds of giraffes around the world.  They are the tallest animal in the world.  Giraffes are like camels, they can go a long time without water.  In the wild giraffes stay in a big group to keep safe.  When baby giraffes are first born they have to stand up straight away to keep up with the big group.  It was fun making it with my Dad.  We got a big bit of paper.  We found a picture of a giraffe.  My Dad drew it then put it on the wood. He had to be very careful because he didn’t want it to move.  When I arrived at school everyone came up to me and wanted to have a look at it.  When I got into the classroom I showed Mrs K. and she said she had never been speechless before.  She gave it a hug!  I am very proud of my Giraffe.

  2. Hi Janaya. Wow, your giraffe is fantastic, you and your Dad are really clever. I really liked how you described Mrs K being speechless when she saw it too! Also I didn't know there are lots of different kinds of giraffes around the world.
