Bottle Bivy Pack up

Today in class we had to destroy the bottle bivy for when the school moved. Instead of throwing the bottles out we recycled them. We made pooper scoopers, but you can also use them to clean out the house spouting. We gave them to all the classes at school. They all said " Thank you". I think it was more fun destroying the bottle bivy more than buiding it.

  2. Hi I really like your milk bottle igloo, it is huge. How long did it take you to buid that and where did you get all those milk bottles? From Gus at Lake Tekapo School.

It was a wonderful journey... We gathered the bottles from families, friends, cafes... You might like to check out this site too.... http://bottlebivy.blogspot.co.nz/
This was a wonderful celebration across New Zealand with schools joining in from Invercargill, Mosgiel, Wellington, and North of Auckland . Do you think you might build one in your class?

  3. Dear Anne,
We like the way you didn't give up, it would have been very frustrating when the bivy fell over! Thank you for answering our questions. We all watched your movie and think it would be great to build a bivy for our class... We're meant to get a big snow in the next couple of days, if it does we might build an igloo instead! 1. Hi there,
Thank you for replying again. I am not working at this school this year so sadly the blog has come to a close. It is a wonderful record of our learning journey though.
I hope you do get to build an igloo. It is snowing here now. I would love to see a photo if you do build one. Could you please send me a link to your class blog so I can comment on your learning too.
      Thanks
      Anne K
