Today I went to swimming we walk down to the pool like always. I Love going to swimming because it helps me learn to swim. We go to swimming every day but not on Friday . I like going to swimming because it helps me to keep my body from bending. I like we can play a game at the end if we be good and listen. I want to swim every day from now on so that I know how to swim we all should know how to swim I know do you. We all need to know how to swim it gets you fit you can make a living at it you can do it as a hobby . You can do want you want with swimming. My mum say it good to get out and have some fun with water.

Swimming

Today we went to the pool for swimming.my goal for today was to get good a score in my assessment. I hopped in the pool. I was very cold but it got a lot warmer so that was good. I like going to swimming because it helps me learn to swim and it will come in handy one day I hope.

I didn't go swimming

Today I didn't go to swimming because on Sunday I went to Titri park. I went up the hill and did the jump at the top of the hill and went down too fast and hit the big tractor tyres. I broke my front mudguard and my number board and my leg is in lots of pain. I like swimming but I just can't swim in the water because it is very painful,  so that is why I'm didn't go to swimming.

How wet is too wet?

On Saturday we had a big flood.  We had to go to the cafe because it flooded under the back door.That was not very good.   We tried to block up the door but that did not work very well, so we got dad out the back to unclog the drain. We had to stay in the car because the rain was getting the very bad. Dads feet were very wet. We had to stay dry for the rest of the night.

The clocktower...

Once upon a time there was a place that nobody knew of. There lives a girl.  Her name is Ally. Ally had a life in the clock tower.  She has to spin and spin to keep the clock moving. One day she had an idea to stop moving. She went for a little walk.  She went to the door that goes outside. She walked into the joyful world but it is not joyful at all. She thinks what have I done? I have made a big mistake, that is not good. Ally needs to make up for this.  She starts to spin again.

Grandparents are important because

Grandparents are important because they care for me. They are always their for us and will never stop loving us. My grandparents are important to me because I can talk to them about anything and will just listen and sort it out for me. If your grandparents are like mine they will tell you stories about what they did in the past. They will always stand up for me no matter what.  Just imagine the world with no grandparents.  How would we live. How would we sleep at night.  The world just needs grandparents. I will spend time with my grandparents whenever I can.

Athletics

On Thursday we had athletics.  We had to be down there before 9:00 in the morning so I got up and I was ready for a great day of fun. I wanted to get a good score. I hope to be in the top ten but that is not going to happen. I want to go now and be early. I came fifth in long jump and came last in discus. In total I got 9 points.

Our Move

We are getting ready to move down the road.  This is going to  be fun and exciting.  The new school is going to look a lot better than the school we have now.  The whole school is going to move down the road to the new site.  They have marked it out.  Every person in the school is going to have a great time at the new school.  Room 4 and 5 have moved down the road.  Room 6 and 7 are going to get moved last.  I'm looking forward to the new school and playing in the grass all day long

Titri park

In the weekend I did not go to the fair. I went some where but it was not
the fair. My brother went to the fair. I went to go watch my friend racing
on his moto bike.On his first race he got taken out by some guy and broke
his brake. He came almost last because of that. In the next race he has 1
second behind. He is 3rd in New Zealand.  He went to the Karl miller track. Karl
was a really good motorbike rider.  He died at Titri park motorcross track so
they made a track for him.  He did a trick and landed on his head and killed
himself.  That's a sad story but true.

The school move

Games Afternoon

Last Friday we had whanau games. Each room had a different activity like an obstacle course and a fitness trail.  There was enough time to do every activity that we had set up.  We had a lot of fun setting up the games and showing the kids what they had to do. It was a good experience for us because we have never done anything like this before. We all had a great time playing games in the sun shine. We absolutely loved playing in the sun shine.  We had lots of fun. We also were getting fit while having fun.

Stray

I’m looking for some food in an old rusty house. I would like to be nice and hot like a fire but it is the wind that is making me cold.  A little wind is not going to stop me looking for food. I cannot give up now.  My family does not love me.  They have dumped me out on the street and abandoned me. I walk to the park.  I am unwanted and homeless. Not the best day for me.  Life is not fair. I am hungry and need some water.  I cross the road and a car comes and hits me and I stay there.

How smart are monkeys?

This is my animal inquiry I am very proud of what I did. I love it. I like the colour for my background.  It is orange. I am very proud of what I did.

Zack's QR code!

In the weekend my brother and I made a qr code. First I had to get an app on my ipad called qr code maker. Then I had to choose what I am going to do it on. I did it on spelling city. We had to type spelling city, then find the website and then push create and I had my own qr code.

Our Mother's Day Weaving...

Mrs K bought back a flax creation from her NAPP Hui.  It was made by Asih Bell, a Maori, Pacific and Indigenous  flax weaver artist at the Hui.  

Mrs K hung it up on our class wall.  She also bought back a kete which we have in class to remind us to fill our kete everyday with physical and mental challenges, spirtual and emotional challenges.  

When we were making our flax weaving it was able to guide us. We were weaving for our mothers with love. Mrs K gathered the flax.  We had to get the flax in the right place to start it.  We had to split the flax to weave our flowers.  We had a choice of flowers, fish, windmills, angels, or anything we could create with love for our Mothers.  We were very proud of our creations.  Our mums were surprised that we wove creations for Mother’s Day.  We hope you all had a wonderful day!

Medals

Today I learnt there are medals for lots of different things like bravery and for saving lives. They had to live in a trench for four years and stand in the mud. There was no going back. You had to stay and do your job. If a man dropped his gun other people can take it.

Dragon adventure number eighteen...

My dragons name is Jimmy.  He has a long tail and big small mouth. He is a cool little wee thing but very nice.  He can be very naughty but he is very nice. He likes to play a lot and heve fun. He looks like a worm but he is not. He lives in the jungle.  Sometimes he get carried away and has too much fun and gets tired and has to sleep in his bed.
