Thank you all very much for your support throughout our amazing learning year in 2012!

This blog remains open as a record of our incredible year.

Pure MAGIC with collaboration this morning...

This morning we got this amazing response to our Space wonderings.  I can hardly believe the time and effort Mr Mannell has put into supporting our learning journey.  Each learner felt valued and encouraged today.  We are so grateful for the motivation with our learning.  When we have completed our planet visit webquest we will have a much better idea of our individual inquiry paths.
Thank you again Mr Mannell!

Life long learners…

Today we helped our teacher Mrs K! She is presenting her first ever IGNITE talk! This is a talk to ‘ignite’ an audience.  Mrs K was really nervous.  She presented her talk to us and we were able to give her so much feedback and feed forward.  She was very grateful for our help.  She was able to take our suggestions and present to her e-teach friends.  She was much more confident!

Last term we all prepared speeches for our annual speech competition.  It was a lot of fun.  We have now decided we will have a go at mini ignite talks.  We will all present something from our space learning…
What a wonderful learning journey we are on together.

Dancing on the chair!

Usually I reserve 'dancing on the chair' for stunning writing that makes me just have to dance!  This week I used dancing on my chair as a challenge to engage families in our online environment with commenting on the blog!  19 comments overnight and I said I would dance...  Well dance I did!  Lots of laughter later we managed to select this very short clip of video as proof - for those who requested it!

Day 1 2012

It is so exciting to be back together for an exciting learning journey!  Today our first bloggers are Laura and Anahera.

Fantastic feather fun
On the 31st of January we went over to the Rec to play with fluffy feathers. The feathers escaped like hundreds of butterflies.  Mrs K asked us one by one to take a handful each. Then we played with them.  We all let them go and it was like snow falling down in winter.  After we played with them she made us pick them all up. We were like mini vacuum cleaners.  We thought it would take at least a week to pick them all up. Mrs K told us that the feathers were our words and if we let our hurtful words they hurt someone's feelings. We learnt that we can't gather up ours words once they are out.
