Clock tower

Once upon a time there was a little girl and every morning she watched the world going on and she was sad because she was locked up in the clock tower.  Everyone was getting on with their life so she made up her mind to take the happiness out of everyone’s life so she sucked out the colour and the land was dry. But not so far away a king with an army was on a daily walk and he got a message that there was an evil lady that was sucking the land away.  So he came with his army to fight the queen.  When he won he put colour into it again and they lived happy ever after.

How wet is too wet?

Today we went for a walk down the street to see the damage of the
rain.  Some of the shops had pipes poking out from the doors. It was to get
the water from the carpet and put it out in to the street. Zack's mum's shop
got lots of water in it down the back.  It was like three centimetres of
water in the bank.  The posters were all wet in the real estate shop.  There
was a bad smell. It smelt like expired milk And it smelt like my brothers room.
It was probably the mostly damaged shop.  They had a pumper to pump the water out of the shop and into the street.  We were allowed  to bring our iPods and iPads to take photos.

Nana and pop!!!!

Grandparents are important because they love us and look after us when we are sick. They let us stay the night. You can talk to them about what ever you want. They keep loving us even when you are naughty. They come around for Christmas and buy us lots of presents. And when you go around for Christmas lunch they cook big turkey in the oven and get you lots of presents. My nana and pop let me stay the night and don’t make me do all my home work all at one time.

Stray

As the soaking wet rain came down and the cold rain went everywhere, it was a may rain that took all the strength out of me, the rain was all around me. I can feel the ground come up to meet me. I had been left out on the street to starve.  Nobody wanted to come and get me in. One night I had been run over by a truck, shot in the head, put in a body bag and just to top it off, I got put in a freezer… And so my story started on a cold day.  It was raining and the wind was everywhere. Something moved out of the corner of my eye and then a horn and then the black came in all at once. I had been hit. A man came into the picture and to put me out of my pain by shooting me with a gun, and then a vet came and put me into a body bag and took me to the vet. He put me in a cold place and then two hours later he went into the cold place and saw me looking at him. He was so sad.  They took me to the x-ray room. I had two broken legs, a big mark above my face, a broken rib and had broken teeth.

THRILLER

On Friday night (May 25th), we went on a ghost tour. We met our tour guide in the Octagon and started it beside the library. We then walked to First Church where Andrew told us about the lady ghost that lived there. We went around the back of the church - the ghost has been seen in the car park, she has a dress on and is in white. We took some photos and then we walked to the next place, opposite First Church, an alley called Black Dog Alley. People say that in the 1960’s, two butcher’s that had a butcher’s shop down there created a story about the ghost of a dog to scare people away from this butchers shop to protect it from thieves. We then we went to another place, the back of the Reagent Threatre where there was a bad fire in the gold rush day’s and lot’s of people (50) got burnt to death. Now they say that if there is a ghost present you can smell smoke. Lastly we walked to Carnegie Centre in Moray Place and Andrew took us down 8 flights to a bunker room. Andrew told us that the man who owned the centre, called Andrew Carnegie died and now haunts it and that sometimes a ghost can punch you but you can not feel it until a day or so later when you feel a bruise.

ANZAC

On the 24th April our class went to the RSA to learn about the war.  We met a man at the door.  I learnt that some people have sweetheart badges.  The man told us that the poppies are for all the men that got shot in the war. He said that the Second World War started when the enemy went into Poland so British went to war. In the war people had to wear thick helmets to stop the bombs from killing them.
