The 15th of September 2011 was a cold, wet and rainy afternoon.
That afternoon our School had the cross country. It was held across the road at the big grass field. We went through the races pretty quickly and soon it was my turn!
I had butterflies fighting in my tummy trying to free themselves. Mr Bros then bashed the two wooden blocks together BANG! We raced off around the track we had to run around the field twice! Halfway round I got the stitch and started to jog. But when I noticed how close the finish line was I immediately broke into a sprint. When I received a placing I ended up getting fifth place! I was very proud with myself and hope that everyone enjoyed the cross country!
